Boutique Diving Bali is not a conventional dive shop. Every experience is private and personally planned around your goals, experience, comfort and the conditions on the day. Whether you are learning to dive, developing new skills or looking for a completely bespoke diving adventure, you dive with personal attention — never in a mixed group with strangers.

Try Scuba Diving
Private SSI Basic Diver
Try scuba diving in Bali with a private SSI Basic Diver experience for complete beginners aged 10 and up. No previous diving experience is required.

Eight private services: the SSI Basic Diver to try scuba diving from age 10, the SSI Scuba Explorer for children aged 8 to 12, the SSI Junior Open Water Diver (ages 10 to 14) and Open Water Diver (from 15) certifications, SSI Specialty courses and the Scuba Skills Update for certified divers, Custom Fun Dives in Bali, and the Dive Butler service anywhere in Indonesia.
Yes. Every course is private: you train with Dominic alone, as a couple, or with your own family or friends, never mixed with strangers. Courses take place in Tulamben on Bali's northeast coast, and the pace, schedule and dive sites are planned around you.
From age 8. The SSI Scuba Explorer (ages 8 to 12) is a pool-based introduction with real equipment, not a certification. From age 10, children can try the ocean with the SSI Basic Diver or earn the SSI Junior Open Water Diver certification (ages 10 to 14), with depth limits of 12 m for ages 10 to 11 and 18 m for ages 12 to 14.
If you want to try diving first, the SSI Basic Diver takes one day and goes to a maximum depth of 12 m. If you already know you want to dive on your own trips, the SSI Open Water Diver course (3–4 days, from age 15) certifies you for life to dive to 18 m with a buddy anywhere in the world. Basic Diver credits count toward Open Water within 6 months.
Book a private SSI Scuba Skills Update. In a pool or confined water to a maximum of 5 m, Dominic reviews equipment set-up, buoyancy, mask clearing, air sharing and other core skills at your pace, often in two to three hours. An open water dive can be added afterwards.
Yes. Custom Fun Dives are private diving days for certified divers with at least an Open Water Diver certification from any agency. You choose what you want to see, for example the manta rays of Nusa Penida, the USAT Liberty wreck or macro, night and drift dives, and Dominic plans the site, timing and dive profile around you.
Yes, with the Dive Butler service. Bali is our home base, and Dominic can accompany you as your personal diving professional on liveaboards and at dive resorts anywhere in Indonesia, including Komodo National Park, Raja Ampat, the Banda Sea and Wakatobi. Beyond Bali, he works alongside vetted local dive guides and stays with you underwater.
Yes, that is how every booking works. There are no fixed packages: tell Dominic your dates, your experience, who is travelling with you and what you would like to see, and he designs the programme for you, whether it is a course, a few fun dives or a trip across several Indonesian destinations with the Dive Butler.
